Job Summary

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (TorontoON)

Summary

The Lands and Resources Cluster (LRC) and the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture Food and Agribusiness (OMAFA) require a Senior Information Architect to lead the update of the Enterprise Architecture for the AgriSuite Portfolio. This role involves high-level information architecture modeling adherence to Ontario Public Service (OPS) standards and collaboration with a multi-disciplinary project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership guidance and support to the project team and business subject matter experts (SMEs).
  • Lead the creation and management of all project-related models/artifacts/diagrams documentation and plans.
  • Responsible for the update/development and validation of all required high-level information architecture models/artifacts.
  • Ensure adherence to LRC EA teams guidance industry best practices GO-ITS standards and OPS guidelines.
  • Leverage existing Ministrys business and information architecture models (e.g. OMAFAs existing architecture) for alignment and integration.
  • Utilize OPS/cluster/ministry tools and model repository (e.g. PowerDesigner) as directed.
  • Arrange and facilitate validation sessions and Enterprise Architecture (EA) meetings.
  • Develop/revise business requirements artifacts.
  • Support Agile Enterprise Architecture delivery if required.
  • Support the process of acquiring project cluster and corporate approvals.
  • Provide transfer of knowledge and project deliverables to both the project team and the EA unit on an on-going basis.
  • Adhere to OPS GO-ITS Standards specifically GO-ITS 56.0 56.1 and 56.3.
  • Revise architectures per action/conditions from LRCs governance body and Corporate EA Governance review bodies.

Must-Have Requirements (7 Years of Experience)

  • Demonstrated experience in leading in-depth and complex information architecture reviews and assessments development and/or support projects to align with new and changed enterprise priorities and initiatives.
  • Demonstrated experience in defining identifying and describing information architectural requirements with clients and successfully obtaining I&IT management approval.
  • Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Architecture (EA) to deliver specified services including integrating IA with other EA domains experience with Agile EA delivery and proficiency with CASE EA and BPMN modeling tools such as PowerDesigner.
  • Proven experience in the creation of Resource Types and developing various data models (Conceptual Normalized Logical or Physical models).

Nice-to-Have Requirements

  • Direct experience working within the Ontario Public Service (OPS) Enterprise Architecture Framework and achieving required approvals including experience with EA Governance Points for corporate ARB approvals.
