Job Summary

Job Title: Geotechnical Testing & Inspections Group Manager

Location: Raleigh NC

Prioritized Must Have Skills for the Geotechnical Testing & Inspections Group Manager:

#1. Must have PE License or ability to acquire within 6 months

#2. Must have at least 8-10yrs of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering materials testing and/or Special Inspections.

#3. Must have strong technical skills in either Geotechnical Engineering or Testing/Inspection.

#4. No more than 3 jobs in the last 10yrs.

Responsibilities of the Geotechnical Testing & Inspections Group Manager:

The position will include oversight direction and growth of a team of project managers senior technical engineers technicians/inspectors and support staff. Along with leadership of the team this individual will be responsible for the overall performance of the department (P&L) client interaction and some technical review.

Requirements of the Geotechnical Testing & Inspections Group Manager:

Bachelors or masters degree in civil engineering or a related discipline
Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required. If registered in other states than North Carolina individual must have the ability to obtain reciprocity in NC within 6 months
Must have 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Geotechnical Engineering materials testing and/or Special Inspections
Displays strong technical skills in either Geotechnical Engineering or Testing/Inspection
Results-oriented individual with superior skills in organization planning and attention to detail
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills
Displays strong leadership and personnel management skills
Excellent interpersonal leadership and communication skills that will allow you to effectively and professionally interact with clients approval authorities governmental officials and the public.
Firm understanding of risk management and loss prevention.
Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced multidisciplinary environment with deadlines and ability to adjust to project priorities and demands of multiple clients.
Intermediate to advanced computer skills (MS Office Teams SharePoint and relevant technical software required) including the ability to learn various types of company / client software
Must be able to pass a drug screen background check and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the companys driving (MVR) policy.

Other Key Requirements:

100% in-office role.
