Job Summary
We are seeking skilled and motivated Machinists to join our dynamic manufacturing this role you will be responsible for setting up operating and maintaining a variety of machining equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC machining blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. Responsibilities
- Operate CNC milling machines ensuring parts are made according to detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
- Program CNC equipment using Master CAM programming software and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications for accurate machining.
- Set up tooling fixtures and machining parameters adjusting as necessary to optimize performance and quality.
- Conduct precision measurements using calipers micrometers bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines to verify component dimensions and tolerances.
- Read and interpret complex blueprints technical drawings and manufacturing specifications to produce parts accurately.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machining equipment including electrical discharge machining (EDM) and other specialized tools.
- Utilize hand tools power tools and welding equipment to assist with assembly repairs or modifications as needed.
- Maintain a clean organized workspace adhering to safety protocols including proper use of tooling safety equipment and lean manufacturing principles.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by suggesting process enhancements reducing waste and increasing productivity.
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move raw materials and finished products safely within the facility.
- Assist in plastics injection molding processes and assembly tasks when required ensuring seamless integration across manufacturing stages.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of machining principles and equipment operation.
- Hands-on expertise with CNC programming including Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints GD&T and technical drawings.
- Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) CAM programming and SolidWorks or CAD software for design and tooling development.
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as calipers micrometers bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of manufacturing processes tooling and assembly techniques.
- Basic math skills necessary for measurements calculations and quality checks.
- Ability to operate power tools hand tools and welding equipment safely and effectively.
- Experience working within lean manufacturing environments and understanding plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
