Position Overview

Woolpert is hiring a Site Civil Engineerto join our dynamic team in Johannesburg. This position reports to the Site Civil Engineering Team Leader.

Essential Functions

• Design and create site layout plans in alignment with client requirements and Woolpert standards.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to develop concept plans grading plans and site designs.
• Work with project management teams toidentifyimpediments and develop/implement solutions to overcome obstacles.
• Performsite due diligenceassessments and compile data and reports.
• Perform occasional field work and frequent local travel and overnight travel as needed.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng / BSc (Eng) in Civil Engineering from a recognized South African university.
• Minimum 5 years of post-graduate experience in civil engineering ideally in infrastructure hydrology stormwater management or structural design.
• registration with ECSA (Engineering Council of South Africa) is required. Alternatively Candidate Engineer (ECSA Candidate Reg. No.) may be accepted for developing engineers.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D or AutoCAD Civil 3D is also required locally used for civil design roads drainage and stormwater systems.
• Ability to manage multiple infrastructure projects prepare design documentation and reports and ensure compliance with ECSA Code of Conduct and project delivery timelines.
• Demonstrated expertise in stormwater drainage design runoff calculations and compliance with local bylaws (e.g. SANS 1200 SANS 10400 and municipal stormwater standards).
• Knowledge of hydraulic and hydrological modelling using tools such as HEC-RAS EPANET SWMM or Civil 3D hydrology modules is highly advantageous.
