REQUIREMENTS:- Grade 12 (Matric)
- Trade Tested Certificate
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Two years maintenance experience in the wine production industry
- Computer literate
- Maintenance skills including some plumbing and electrical knowledge
- Basic knowledge of HACCP system
- Basic knowledge of the Pre-requisite Program ISOPE01
- In-depth knowledge of HACCP Plan for glass and Bib filling ISOPH02
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to identify problem areas and work under pressure
- Must be willing to be on call one week in three
DUTIES:Machine Equipment and Vehicle Maintenance:- Carry out preventative maintenance according to the maintenance plan and attend to breakdowns on all machines equipment and vehicles.
- Perform improvements on machines and equipment when necessary.
- Ensure correct lubricants are used for specified machines/products as advised by machine/product specifications.
- Ensure proper care and use of workshop machines tools and equipment.
- Order and collect spares and other maintenance requirements in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager and Production Manager Bottling.
- Fabricate minor spares/process requirements using a lathe drill press welding and other equipment as required.
- Respond to call-outs and attend to breakdowns when required.
- Maintain registers according to OHAS Act statutory requirements for power tools ladders pressure vessels and lifting devices.
- Liaise with service companies on plant service issues air compressors hoists and forklift trucks.
- Complete all breakdown and preventative maintenance records according to QMS procedures.
Buildings & Grounds Maintenance:- Carry out preventative maintenance and repair work on buildings as required.
- Attend to breakdowns and liaise with departmental managers to limit disruption to processes.
- Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs as required in the plant.
Quality Management Systems:- Adhere to QMS standards and procedures.
- Follow QMS protocol as described in QMS procedures.
- Ensure the security of the premises is maintained in areas of responsibility.
- Adhere to set GMP protocol and participate in quality seminars.
Health Safety and Housekeeping:- Control CCPs including sanitation testing of machines and equipment worked on during maintenance.
- Carry out sanitation of the workshop and parts store.
- Participate in annual HACCP training and H&S committee meetings when required.
- Adhere to the protective clothing policy.
- Ensure compliance with company and statutory H&S policies and procedures.
- Work closely with the safety representative to ensure adherence to safe work practices.
- Contribute to the companys safety awareness by monitoring contractors on site and reporting any deviations to the safety representative or maintenance/production manager.
- Ensure housekeeping meets required standards and that all areas of responsibility are clean and neat.
HOURS:- Monday to Friday: 08:00 17:00
- Standby every 3rd week
