The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Department of Urology based in scenic Charleston South Carolina is recruiting a Minimally Invasive Urologic Oncology Fellow to join our team as a Clinical Instructor to gain a comprehensive experience in genitourinary cancers.

The urologic oncology fellow works closely with the GU Nurse Navigator to help run our weekly multidisciplinary tumor board during which time all new cases are discussed with urologic oncology medical oncology radiation oncology pathology and radiology. Additionally the fellow works closely with the urology residents at MUSC in the operating room and while on call acting as junior faculty.

MUSC Department of Urology delivers the regions most comprehensive range of Urologic services encompassing every Urologic subspecialty with more than 30000 patient encounters each year. As a tertiary care academic medical center MUSC receives a large volume of complex referral cases from throughout the state of South Carolina and neighboring states. The fellow gains experience with five urologic oncologists and works closely with the overall multidisciplinary team in urologic cancers. Through these multiple providers the fellow will gain expertise in the endoscopic laparoscopic robotic and open approaches to all urologic cancers.

Duration: 12-month fellowship to run July 1 to June 30.

(Infrequent) Ability to maintain 20/40 vision corrected in one eye or with both eyes. (Continuous) Ability to see and recognize objects close at hand. (Frequent) Ability to see and recognize objects at a distance. (Frequent) Ability to determine distance/relationship between objects; depth perception. (Continuous) Good peripheral vision capabilities. (Continuous) Ability to maintain hearing acuity with correction.
