Mid-Level API Agile Engineer

As a Mid-Level API Engineer you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining backend services that power digital experiences across web mobile and API channels. Your primary focus will be on building cloud-native microservices and orchestration APIs using and TypeScript.

You will work as part of the Digital team contributing to the delivery of scalable secure and high-performing solutions that support a diverse business community. This role requires a self-motivated engineer with strong communication skills a collaborative mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced cross-functional environment. Youll be instrumental in driving digital transformation initiatives and delivering integrated solutions across multiple systems.

Day to Day

• Design build and maintainRESTfulandGraphQLAPIs for internal and external use.
• Develop and deployserverless cloud-based microservicesusing and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build test and deploy backend applications.
• Deliver scalable end-to-end solutions that integrate with multiple systems and services.
• Manage and maintain cloud-native serverless infrastructure.
• Represent the Digital team in cross-functional IT initiatives to deliver integrated solutions.
• Partner with business stakeholders beyond product owners to ensure alignment and value delivery.
• Contribute to Agile and DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing.
• Adhere to coding standards and follow GitHub/VSTS branching and release strategies.
• Write and maintain unit and automated integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in peer code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to engineering communities of practice and maintain technical documentation.

Essentials

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
• 4 years of experience in software development with a focus on backend services and APIs.
• Strong hands-on experience andJavaScript.
• Experience building microservices and working withrelationaland/orNoSQL databases.
• Proficient in writing unit and integration tests and working within CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies (SAFe experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive mindset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Collaborative team player with the ability to influence and mentor peers.
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-changing environment.
• Open to giving and receiving feedback in a highly collaborative setting.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel occasionally (up to 10%).
• Experience in thefinancial servicesindustry is a plus.

Applicable pay range

$102020.00 - $153030.00

DLL is considering candidates in numerous locations. The pay estimate displayed represents the typical pay range for candidates hired for this position in the desired primary work location. Pay may be adjusted outside the projected range based on geographical differentiation as well as for any other lawful reason. Additional factors that may be used to determine your actual pay include your specific skills years of relevant experience you possess and other work-related qualifications. Many candidates may start in the bottom half of the applicable pay range especially those with less experience or qualification.

This position is subject to the terms of DLLs compensation plans and policies.
