What are we looking for

TheEnvironmental Staff Engineeris responsible for conducting environmental assessments and remediation activities preparing technical reports and calculations and coordinating with clients regulators and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.

Shift/Schedule:Monday Friday 8AM-5PM This position will travel at least 30% of the time.

What youll do:

• Perform Environmental Site Assessments including ASTM Phase I II and III; FDEP ATC Petroleum and Drycleaner Program projects and deliverables and manage UST and assessment projects.
• Assist Team with soil gas and vapor intrusion investigations Remedial Action efforts and Remedial Construction projects.
• Perform Engineering calculations and prepare technical proposals and reports for clients.
• Effectively communicate with subcontractors team members and regulators to keep projects aligned with approved project plans and schedule.
• Author technical reports and assist with proposals.
• Understand and work within project budgets to build solid relationships with clients and team members.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

• A bachelors degree in environmental or civil engineering from an accredited/ABET school
• 1 years of proven technical environmental consulting experience including site investigations research and regulatory reporting
• Must be detail-oriented and a team player with excellent communication analytical organization as well as time and budget management skills.
• Must be computer literate and able to operate most field/office equipment relating to ones discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
• Entry level knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems involved with remediation of environmental contamination proficient with performing and evaluation of engineering calculations involved in remedial planning.
• Working knowledge of FDEP SOPs for field activities related to soil groundwater and surface water.
• Desire to excel at performing tasks within projects under CERCLA and RCRA environmental due diligence projects including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments following ASTM guidelines: proficiency following work flows of FDEP environmental programs including ATC Drycleaners and associated Chapter 62-780 Florida Administrative Code (FAC) based assessments.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
• Must be able to perform tasks in varying field/office conditions
• Valid Drivers License and reliable driving record

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

• AutoCAD or ArcGIS softwares
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Engineer-In-Training (EIT) registration/certification
