Job Summary:
The Quality Lab Technician performs assists and coordinates all internal laboratory activities striving for continuous quality improvements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain specification sheet and ensure that yarn being produced meets those specifications.
- Check information labeling and appearance of finished yarn.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of data collected during each shift.
- Ensure that all equipment is operating properly.
- Maintain a clean lab.
- Assist the team with machine operation and other tasks when needed.
- Keep Supervisor or Department Manager appropriately informed of all problems issues of concern and any test results out of specification.
Performance Expectations (if applicable):
- Must be able to walk stand or sit for long periods.
- Must be able to read write and speak English; Spanish language skills preferred.
Experience/Education Requirements:
- Two years of experience in a Quality-related field within a laboratory and/or textile industry preferred.
- Computer proficiency and data entry skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Overtime required on occasion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
