Title: Math Tutor Reports to: Building PrincipalLocation: Hamilton-Wenham Regional High School Position OverviewThe Math Tutor works with students with disabilities who require additional academic assistance in mathematics. The tutor collaborates with special educators and general educators to ensure that students receive appropriate instruction and support aligned with the high school curriculum and their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This is an hourly position up to six hours per week. ResponsibilitiesProvide small-group or individual math support to students with disabilities as directed by the principal and special education staff. Reinforce math instruction delivered by certified teachers using strategies aligned with student IEP goals and students with skill development organization task completion and data on student progress and provide feedback to special educators school counselors and the accommodations modifications and behavior support plans as confidentiality regarding student records and personal effectively with educators and families as other related duties as assigned by the supervising teacher(s) building administrator or Director of Student degree or to assist students in math at the high school communication and interpersonal to work collaboratively with staff and to supporting an inclusive learning with math instructional strategies and/or special education Skills & AbilitiesAbility to follow instructional plans and implement flexibility and the ability to build positive student to learn and implement new to maintain accurate records and progress of confidentiality laws and FERPA Environment & Physical RequirementsWork is primarily performed in a classroom or school to support students in transitioning throughout the school be able to sit stand walk lift up to 25 lbs. and assist students physically as ScheduleUp to six hours per week Follows the school-year calendar
