POSITION SUMMARY
The Director in the Residential Services department is responsible for the management of personnel and support of persons with disabilities residing in community homes programs. The Director supervises 5 sites and functions as program specialist for all individuals residing in the homes. The Director is responsible for implementing the strategic goals of the Residential Services department. The Director is responsible to ensure compliance with all corporate policies and procedures and state regulations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelors Degree with extensive experience (4 years minimum) working with persons with intellectual disabilities; Masters Degree in Special Education or related field.
2. Management experience
3. Ability to lead a team.
4. Experience with assessment tools.
5. Familiarity with outcome design.
6. Valid PA drivers license.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide a supportive caring safe environment by attending to individual needs while respecting differences and supporting growth and independence.
2. Supervision of personnel.
3. Overall responsibility for the referral process for family support services (intake assessment placement and transfer).
4. Develop and implement outcomes as part of the Individual Support Plan process and related activities (social recreational educational and developmental).
5. Compliance with corporate policies and procedures and Office of Developmental Programs regulations.
6. Preparation of required or requested reports.
7. Coordinate and facilitate monthly quarterly and annual review of individual support plans advocating changes where necessary and appropriate.
8. Safeguard health safety and well-being of program participants.
9. Report incidents of suspected abuse neglect or other as required by the policy on Incident Management.
10. May be required to serve as a Certified Investigator for the corporation.
11. Knowledge of emergency procedures and serve on the Emergency On-Call team.
12. Serve as an instructor for Professional Development in one or more disciplines and/or serve in some additional capacity that enhances the corporation including but not limited to committees; certified investigator; on-call specialist.
13. Monitor and supervise the day- to day activities routines and rhythms of programs through weekly visitations (including week-ends and evenings).
14. Data analysis.
15. Obtain 24 hours of required training per training year.
16. Assist the Fiscal staff by actively participating in the monitoring of house budget and petty cash expenditures.
17. Monitor and approve electronic time cards.
18. Monitor system of Awake Night reporting and follow up on irregularities of reporting through on-site checks as directed and at least monthly.
19. Exemplify the Code of Ethical Conduct and Professional Standards and other policies of the corporation.
20. Act as liaison between agency and county and regional offices.
21. Act as liaison between agency and families and/or providers.
22. Regular attendance at work.
23. Perform other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical demands are representative of the physical requirements necessary for an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the Director position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable people with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.
Safety precautions are observed in order to reduce incidents of risk factors for a typical residential setting that is adequately lighted heated and ventilated. Example: avoiding trips and falls providing back care measures and observing fire prevention measures.
May need to sit or stand.
May be required to walk on a level surface an uneven surface and/or to climb stairs periodically throughout the day.
May be required to reach above the shoulder below the waist lift materials to waist height or above throughout the day. Proper lifting techniques are required.
The Director may occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
Finger dexterity and close vision are required.
Specific vision requirements include close and distance vision and depth perception.
