- Master of Library and Information Science degree from an ALA accredited library school and a minimum of three years of progressively responsible professional library makerspace leadership supervisory management or directly related experience OR a related degree (e.g. as education digital humanities or information technology) and 6 years of supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of emerging digital trends technologies and initiatives.
- Experience developing implementing and evaluating services and programs targeted at a diverse customer base.
- Experience developing implementing and evaluating staff training initiatives.
- Experience integrating technology into public services and programs.
- Experience with STEAM technology including but not limited to 3D printing application programming Computer Assisted Design Robotics and electronics.
- A degree in a related field such as education digital humanities or information technology.

The Associate Manager Makerspace takes on a leadership role by supporting the implementation of EPLs digital literacy initiatives making and creating services and development of EPLs technology classes and events. Daily responsibilities include supporting the development of EPLs technology classes and events; collaborating to develop new and evolving digital literacy and maker services for customers of all ages; providing operational oversight for the Makerspace at Stanley A. Milner Library; and supporting a staff of 14 in the development and execution of services.
Reporting to the Manager Stanley A. Milner Branch you will work cooperatively and collaboratively with members of the Stanley A. Milner leadership team to deliver exceptional experiences at EPLs flagship branch. You will establish and implement the short and long-range plans for Milners Makerspace and contribute to EPLs system-wide Maker this role you will lead staff to ensure that EPL is the best place to learn while continually working to provide exceptional customer experiences for the thousands of Edmontonians who visit EPL each and every day.
