HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Troubleshoot process and equipment problems.
- Participate in improving preventative maintenance program.
- Write and troubleshooting of PLC and HMI programs
- Guide suppliers and tools and fixture design
- Assure fixture and tools follow guidelines quality and safety requirements
- Support on Industry 4.0 implementation
- Write documentation for manufacturing operations (Work Instructions SOPs Control Plans PFMEAs)
- Design and discuss the area/plant layout.
- Assists Process Engineering in examining Capacity requirements and defining the technical equipment.
- Assisting Process Engineering in the creation of work plans parts lists and work instructions.
- Assists in product decommissioning/exiting serial production into spare part production.
- Acquisition delivery and serial production readiness process from inquiry until start of serial production (until APQP Production handover)
- Plan & implement capital improvement projects.
- Support launch new products and programs.
THE ENVIRONMENT
- Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures / guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as safety glasses steel or composite toe shoes and in limited cases hearing protection.
- The work on the shopfloor is within a non-climate-controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold) forklift and pedestrian traffic and noise.
- This position is in support of a 24-7 manufacturing environment. While standard work schedule is Mon-Fri/ 8-5 flexibility of work hours is required as needed.
Qualifications :
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering required
- Excellent computer skills in MS Office AutoCad SolidWorks Unigraphics experience a plus but will train
- Capable of effectively applying technical knowledge to solve a range of problems
- PLC experience
- Small scale control system design and build
- Perform critical analysis evaluate and provide new ideas
- Relocation will not be offered for this role
