- Execute food preparation tasks such as chopping slicing and measuring ingredients with precision
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient food service
- Assist in the proper storage and rotation of ingredients to minimize waste
- Learn and apply new culinary techniques and recipes to expand your skillset
- Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas for new dishes
- Support the kitchen team during service hours to ensure smooth operations
- Assist in inventory management and restocking of supplies as needed
Qualifications :
- Culinary diploma or equivalent qualification in the culinary arts
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional kitchen preferably with a focus on continental cuisine
- Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques
- In-depth knowledge of continental cuisine including recipes and cooking methods
- Ability to operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Current food safety certification
- Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items when necessary
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new culinary trends and techniques
- Fluency in English; knowledge of local languages is a plus
