We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our Marketing Platform team in the London office.
The Marketing Platform team is the tech team behind Marketing strategy at Wise. Team vision - Marketing invests its budget to maximise ROI with absolute confidence to use our data to underpin investment decisions. Risk is minimised and channel measurement is clear and transparent. We are also the keepers of the comparison data made available to the public and internal teams at Wise. We are a diverse team consisting of 4 engineers 2 product leads and 2 product specialists.
We are looking for a Senior Backed Engineer to help us evolve and scale our marketing platform and comparison for our customers all over the world. You will get the opportunity to build the systems APIs and help us shape the next stage of our comparison scraping strategy
Qualifications :
What does it take:
5 years of experience in Java or Kotlin (or other JVM based language)
Strong experience with Spring framework relational databases distributed and concurrent systems (Kafka)
Experience in scraping technologies at scale and maintaining data accuracy
Close collaboration with product managers data scientists data analysts engineers and other product teams is a must have and is something to expect to happen on a daily basis
You enjoy writing testable code and you have experience in testing strategies such as unit testing integration testing
You believe in and follow best coding practices code reviews and open feedback
You have great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience
You strive to improve our team culture and processes
A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
Being able to work independently on customer problems is a key to success - you take responsibility and end-to-end ownership of your projects: drive and own them to make sure we hit the goals we want to achieve

What the first six months in this role will look like
Youll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team squad and guild vision and how you can contribute
Understanding the Fintech domain and our tech culture
Youll have fully developed new features from planning to release and keep monitoring their adoption once live
Gone through two quarterly plannings and proposed ideas to take our comparison product further
