Our client an established London City practice is expanding their dispute resolution team and seeking a talented solicitor with 3-5 years PQE to handle high-quality complex civil and commercial litigation. About the Role
As a Dispute Resolution Solicitor youll manage your own varied caseload of contentious matters providing strategic advice to clients whilst representing them through negotiations mediations arbitrations and court proceedings. Youll work autonomously on complex disputes whilst contributing to the firms growth and development.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing adiverse caseloadincluding contract disputes contentious private client matters property disputes debt recovery shareholder and partnership disputes and other civil litigation
- Advising clients onrisk management strategies dispute avoidance and the most commercially viable course of action
- Representing clientsin court proceedings mediations arbitrations and settlement negotiations
- Drafting and reviewing high-quality legal documents including pleadings witness statements settlement agreements and client correspondence
- Providing clearstrategic and commercially-aware advicetailored to individual client needs
- Contributing tobusiness development activities including networking and building lasting client relationships
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members as the practice continues to grow
- Staying current with developments in dispute resolution Civil Procedure Rules and alternative dispute resolution processes
What Youll Need
Essential Requirements:
- Qualified Solicitorwith3-5 years PQEin dispute resolution or civil litigation
- Strong technical knowledge of dispute resolution processes includingcourt procedures mediation and arbitration
- Excellentnegotiation and advocacy skills with demonstrable experience handling complex and high-value disputes
- Exceptional drafting abilitywith meticulous attention to detail in preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Proven track record ofmanaging a busy caseload independentlywhilst consistently meeting deadlines
- Outstanding client care and communication skills with a focus on delivering strategic commercially viable advice
- Commercial awareness and aproactive approach to business development
- Strong IT proficiency and familiarity with case management systems
- Flexible pragmatic and results-driven approach to dispute resolution
Highly Desirable:
- Contested probate experience
- Property dispute experience
