Were looking for a Payment Operations Team Lead to join our team in our Tallinn office. This role is a unique opportunity to have an impact on Wises mission grow as a leader of our Operations teams and help save millions more people money. Your mission is to develop a strong Operations team and support specialists on their personal growth paths.
Heres how youll be contributing to the Operations Team:
- Helping the team develop and measure KPIs for success.
- Setting OKRs based on the highest impact areas identified and driving your team towards delivering goals.
- Managing your teams resources and their relevant skills ensuring at all times a high-quality high-speed workflow with optimal coverage.
- Increasing the efficiency of the operations team while balancing the health and productivity of your specialists.
- Driving operational excellence while building sufficient controls and assessing and mitigating operational risks.
- Ensuring the teams readiness to handle unexpected situations.
- Collaborating closely with stakeholders to improve the state of Payment Operations.
This role will give you the opportunity to:

- Work Globally - Youll work closely with internal and external partners and help to figure out ways to make our customers lives better. Youll also occasionally travel to work and learn with our teams in other locations! Were 6500 Wisers with 120 nationalities located in offices from Tallinn to Tokyo and much like our product we operate without borders communicating across teams and locations. We get it done!
Qualifications :
- Youre located in Tallinn Estonia or have the willingness to move here (were offering visa and relocation support for this role)
- You have a minimum of 2 years experience in a leadership position with a track record of demonstrating strong leadership skills and building high-functioning teams.
- You have relevant experience leading an operational and/or project team.
- Youre a self-starter who is independent and able to navigate and thrive in a fast-paced autonomous environment. You drive to make things happen instead of wondering why things happened.
- You understand how to set clear OKRs and set KPIs for your team. You have a proven track record of moving metrics and driving your team to reach set goals.
- You have a strong analytical mindset and youre able to identify opportunities that have the most value-add to customers and your team. You build a narrative from data to influence decisions.
- Youre a great communicator straight up and honest. You can adapt your communication style to different audiences. Youre able to persuade others and you arent afraid to challenge something when you need to.
- Youre comfortable working within teams that face complex issues and take charge in difficult situations.
- You enjoy creating an inspiring team environment where ideas are shared and openness is valued. Youre comfortable and composed when either giving or receiving feedback.
- You are passionate about nurturing talent and developing your teams potential.
- You have a passion for technology customer experience and you want your work to have a positive impact on people.
- Youre a great relationship builder experienced at working closely with internal and external partners as well as product and engineering development teams. You are able to influence decisions to reach shared objectives.

- You have worked in a cross border team - know their challenges and how to overcome these.
- You have a background in payments and experience working with product and engineering teams.
- You know how to use different processes improvements methodologies .
- PMP - Project Management Certification
- Lean Six Sigma
