Clifton is currently searching for a highly skilled Senior Contaminated Sites Engineer/Geoscientist to lead our Site Assessment and Remediation team in Saskatoon. Reporting to the Practice Director you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of junior and intermediate professionals. Your duties will include managing a wide range of environmental assessment and remediation projects as well as driving business development initiatives to foster the growth and success of the practice in your region.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineering and technical professionals and provide oversight direction and support to ensure a high level of technical competence and quality project delivery.
- Participate in the recruitment development and mentorship of staff with a focus on building high-performing teams.
- Manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessments Phase II Environmental Site Assessments groundwater monitoring and sampling programs soil vapour assessments and remediation programs including the completion of safety plans and ground disturbance procedures.
- Drive business development initiatives by building and nurturing client relationships leading projects and proposal pursuits and actively developing opportunities for growth within your area of practice.
- Ensure effective project management including accountability for financial and technical performance within your area of practice.
- Ensure adherence to Cliftons Quality Management System (QMS)in project delivery including contracts management.
- Act as a safety leader for Cliftons health and safety program.
- Other duties as required.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Completion of a Bachelors degree in Environmental Science Environmental Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10)years of relevant experience in environmental consulting environmental impact assessment and other related industry experience.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer or geoscientist in Saskatchewan (APEGS).
- Proven leadership experience with an ability to manage a diverse team of technical professionals.
- Excellent communication writing time and team management skills.
- Strong organizational skills including effective management of multiple and conflicting priorities with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in the context of work-life balance.
- Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of products.
- Continued attention to safety and safe work environments with a strong workplace safety orientation.
