Overview
The Diesel Bus/Truck Technician is a skilled position that requires the ability to perform bus and medium duty diesel truck mechanical and warranty repairs as well as diagnose and troubleshoot drivability problems according to company policy and procedures. This is a position of routine difficulty requiring the exercise of reasonable judgment and initiative.
- This position pays $38 - $42 / hour based on expereince and certifications
- $3000 signing bonus

Responsibilities
- Ensure that all warranty and mechanical repairs are completed according to the manufacturers specifications and guidelines.
- Provide safe and reliable vehicles upon completion of repairs.
- Perform routine and annual DOT required repairs and inspections.
- Read and interpret diagnostic test results often by using dials gauges and other computer equipment.
- Raise trucks buses and heavy parts or equipment by using hydraulic jacks or hoists.
- Inspect brake systems steering mechanisms transmissions engines and other parts of vehicles.
- Do routine maintenance such as changing oil checking batteries and lubricating equipment and parts.
- Maintain vehicle repair history by documenting a Repair Order to accurately reflect steps taken and part(s) used during the repair.
- Comply with part and inventory tracking procedures.
- Utilize multiple manufacturers websites software and diagnostic tools.
- May process new fleet LOFR tires fuel reclamation or buy-backs.
- Participate in company and manufacturer approved training or other industry related training.
- Maintain the work area in a safe clean condition and comply with all uniform and equipment standards.
- Maintain a regular and reliable level of attendance and punctuality
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma / G.E.D. required
- Minimum of four years of mechanical experience working on buses or medium duty trucks.
- A minimum of 4 Diesel ASEs required
- CDL or DOT medical Certificate
- Subject to apre-employment drug test andif hired will be subject to random drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to operate manufacturer diagnostic equipment.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- Must have satisfactory background check inclusive of driving (no more than 2 moving violations and/or at fault accidents in the past 3 years and no drug or alcohol related conviction on driving record in the last 5 years)
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job (heavy lifting bending down moving quickly and working outside)with or without reasonable accommodation.
