Now Hiring Multiple Full-Time Nurse Managers at Mount Sinai West

Lead with purpose and make a difference in patient care! We are seeking a passionate and experienced RN leader to manage and oversee nursing practice and operations in our dynamic healthcare environment.

All leaders should have universal Nurse Manager experience with the following:

  • Budget ownership (labor & supplies)
  • Staff engagement surveys (NDNQI Press Ganey)
  • Quality metrics (falls CLABSI CAUTI readmissions)
  • Regulatory readiness (mock surveys tracer prep)
  • Shared governance & unit-based councils
  • Strong staffing and throughput management (high census frequent admissions/discharges)

  • HCAHPS improvement initiatives



Responsibilities

Available Positions:

Behavioral Health Unit FT Day

  • Minimum: 35 years RN experience in psychiatric or behavioral health
  • 2 years leadership in psych (Charge RN Assistant ManagerProgram Coordinator)
  • BSN required; MSN or PMH-BC preferred
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Behavioral Health standards restraint/seclusion regs
  • Experience with 1:1 staffing and crisis intervention
  • Managing LCSWs psych techs and security integration
  • Department Highlight

Amenities & Hemodialysis FT Day

  • Minimum: 35 years RN experience in Med/Surg VIP ICU
  • 2 years leadership in psych (Charge RN Assistant ManagerProgram Coordinator)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Department Highlight

Cardiovascular Services FT Day

  • Minimum: 35 years RN in cath lab CVICU or cardiac step-down
  • 2 years charge or cath lab coordinator experience
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • ACLS required; CCRN or RCIS strongly preferred
  • Manage a dynamic unit driving excellence in patient monitoring and acute care delivery.

Neuro Stepdown and MedSurg

  • Minimum: 35 years RN experience in telemetry or cardiac step-down
  • 2 years leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • NIHSS certification required
  • Knowledge of Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center standards
  • Manage a dynamic unit driving excellence in patient monitoring and acute care delivery.

Emergency Services FT day

  • Minimum: 35 years ED RN experience
  • 2 years leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • ACLS PALS TNCC required
  • Department Highlight

Medical Oncology Unit FT day

  • Minimum: 35 years (Inpatient Oncology / Chemo Administration) experience
  • 2 years leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Department Highlight

Obstetrics & Gynecology FT day

  • Minimum: 35 yearsL&D or mother-baby RN experience
  • 2 years leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • Department Highlight

Ambulatory Surgery Center FT

  • Minimum: 35 years Freestanding or Hospital-Based Outpatient Surgery
  • 2 years leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • BSN required; MSN preferred
  • CVOR required
  • Department Highlight


Qualifications

Education Requirements

  • Education: BSN Masters Degree in Nursing or health health-related field.

Experience Requirements

  • 35 years RN experience in in the assigned nursing practice area.
  • 2 years of leadership experience (Charge RN Assistant Manager or Supervisor)
  • Proven Clinical and Nursing administrative expertise in the assigned nursing practice area.
  • Critical thinking and organizational skills are essential.

Licensing and Certification Requirements

  • Licensure: Current NYS license as a registered professional nurse

  • Child abuse certification is required

  • Infection control certification is required

  • Certification: Basic Life Saver (BLS) Required Issuing Agency: AHA

  • Certification: NRP (Labor and Delivery NICU dept)

  • Certification: ACLS (in ED; PACU/ASU; ICUs; Telemetry Units; SDU; IR Interventional

  • Cardiology (CCL/EP/Echo); L&D; Endoscopy and APN Adult Oncology

  • Certification: PALS (in ED; PACU; IR; Peds ICU and APNs Pediatric Oncology depts.)
