Berklee seeks an experienced empathetic and flexible Community Case Manager to join our diverse dynamic multidisciplinary health and wellness team. About the Role & Responsibilities

Reporting to the Assistant Vice President Student Support Services this role is key to providing real-time crisis response stabilization and follow-up care for students living on and off-campus. This is a 12-month full-time 100% on-site position with work days/hours Sunday through Wednesday 3 pm - 11 pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation and attend crisis/well-being checks in the community in coordination with Public Safety and the Student Life on-call team.
  • Coordinate crisis response and disposition including referral to community providers (e.g. psychiatric evaluation longer-term treatment).
  • Triage students of concern and provide necessary case management coordination assisting day-time case managers as needed.
  • Serve as a confidential resource for student respondents in Equity/Title IX cases.
  • Participate in ongoing psycho-educational programming and outreach (e.g. suicide prevention gate-keeper training Mental Health First Aid) for the campus community.
  • Maintain all pertinent documentation and participate in supervision and departmental meetings.

What Youll Bring

We seek candidates with a demonstrated ability to establish rapport during emotionally charged situations and a high tolerance for ambiguity bringing strong field experience and a proactive attitude.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in social work counseling psychology or a related field (Masters preferred).
  • 2 years of demonstrated experience providing crisis intervention and counseling services to late adolescents/young adults.
  • Multicultural excellence in working with diverse student populations (e.g. students of color first-generation LGBTQ international students).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Boston area resources (Community Behavioral Health Centers emergency hospitalization procedures).
  • Strong computer/tech skills (Microsoft Suite Google Suite Mac).
  • Preferred experience using standardized risk assessment tools (like NABITA) and Maxient software.

Hiring Range: $60000 to $70000; salary dependent on relevant experience and education.
