Students learn to think critically and develop solutions for challenges faced both in Warwick and around the globe particularly those related to the environment and social OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated part-time Mathematics Interventionist to provide high-quality math instruction and targeted interventions for elementary students who require additional support in mathematics. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with classroom teachers special educators and support staff to design and deliver evidence-based mathematics instruction aligned with the latest interventionist approaches and our districts educational ResponsibilitiesProvide small-group and individual mathematics instruction targeted to students specific learning needs using research-based effective intervention practices such as visual models hands-on manipulatives explicit strategy instruction Illustrative Mathematics Building Thinking Classrooms Bridges Intervention SRSD Cognitively Guided Instruction (CGI) Number Talks and other evidence-based interpret and utilize math screening diagnostic and progress monitoring assessments such as Universal Screener for Number Sense to identify students in need of support and monitor assessment data to design intervention plans that address foundational math concepts problem-solving fluency and mathematical and implement lesson plans focusing on mathematical understanding procedural fluency conceptual development and mathematical vocabulary. Build student understanding by engaging in concrete experiences creating visual representations and correctly manipulating abstract symbols. Maintain detailed records of student progress instructional plans and communications with staff and in multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) and student support team meetings to ensure coordinated math intervention and student data effective math strategies differentiation and inclusive practices for teachers and proactively with parents and caregivers about their students growth strategies for home support and progress toward math appropriate integrate mathematics instruction with Warwicks nature-based and place-based learning in ongoing professional development related to math intervention data-driven instruction and culturally responsive teaching QualificationsTeaching license for elementary education; teaching license for students with moderate disabilities track record of improving students mathematical achievement through evidence-based degree in Education Mathematics or a related field; Masters degree with contemporary math intervention programs and mathematical diagnostic administering interpreting and using progress monitoring data for instructional of effective differentiation and intervention strategies for students with math learning QualificationsExperience as a classroom teacher special education teacher or mathematics with Illustrative Mathematics and Building Thinking with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and data-driven math supporting mixed-age or multi-level learning of supporting students with dyscalculia or other mathematical learning Skills and AbilitiesDeep understanding of mathematics development assessment and intervention to collaborate effectively with educators families and support organizational and data management and flexible application of math strategies across classroom and outdoor to equity inclusion and culturally responsive CharacteristicsEnthusiasm for supporting a community of mathematicians and lifelong -reflective and receptive to feedback for continuous professional demeanor and adherence to ethical punctuality and strong sense of to Warwick Community SchoolAbility to provide mathematics instruction that aligns with our nature-based place-based and project-based learning to collaborative mixed-age instruction that values student voice and to engage in outdoor mathematics and benefitsSalaries and benefits are competitive with local districts and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
