Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

Overview:
In this role youll have the opportunity to work at a brand-new fully automated batch chemical blending and packaging facility. The company is seeking an engineer with strong instrumentation and controls experience to play a key role in ensuring the reliability efficiency and safety of production operations. Youll leverage advanced DCS and PLC control systems to manage complex batch recipes and maintain consistent high-quality output. Most of the equipment is already installed but some additional help may be needed for more and commissioning. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting maintaining and optimizing automation systems and instrumentation as well as supporting continuous process and equipment improvements. Youll also collaborate closely with engineering maintenance and production teams to implement automation upgrades and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Also interfacing with outside contractors and global engineers for additional support. Additionally youll assist with the commissioning testing and validation of new control systems and equipment installations.

In addition to joining a new team and working in a clean facility with high-tech equipment this role will primarily be on first shift (with some flexibility required for on-call support). Ideal Candidate Background:
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical Mechanical Chemical or a closely related field) non-degree technicians may also be considered.
2 years of hands-on Distributed Control Systems (DCS) engineering experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
Experience working in batch and packaging environments and familiarity with PLCs SCADA HMIs and programming are all a plus.
