- Track legislation
- Find and analyze the most current research on policies and laws
- Assist in preparations for concerts general conferences and other events
- Help prepare presentations on issues of concern for use in briefings with senior Church leaders
- Write analyses and briefs on a wide variety of topics
- Participate in team meetings to assist in strategic decision-making
- Assist with hosting government officials at Church headquarters
- Interns may also have the opportunity to work on projects of their design if they fit within the mission of the Department and are approved by the team
QualificationsQualifications
- Member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
- Ecclesiastical endorsement (current temple recommend holder)
- Classroom or work experience in public affairs political science communications or a related field Bachelors degree preferred but not required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent editing writing and research skills
- Ability to work independently as well as under direction from others
- Ability to maintain professionalism in the workplace and integrity working from home
Paid Interns are qualified while enrolled in an educational institution and for one year following graduation. They must sign a Paid Internship Engagement Letter.
