BASED SOUTH YORKSHIRE

FULL TIME PERMANENT ROLE

Our client is looking for a dedicated and proactive Safety Health & Environment (SHE) Advisor to join their team at the South Yorkshire site. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in maintaining a safe compliant and sustainable workplace in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

ROLE

As theSHE Advisor youll report into and support the SHE Managerin implementing and developing the sites Safety Health & Environmental Management System. This is a hands-on role focused on preventing workplace injuries and illnesses improving safety culture and ensuring full legal and company compliance.

Youll also act as thesites competent personin the absence of the SHE Manager providing guidance and leadership across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site.
  • Help the site achieve and maintain legal compliance.
  • Deliver engaging health & safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Conduct workplace inspections audits and risk assessments.
  • Lead and document incident investigations and root cause analyses.
  • Provide practical SHE advice and support across all departments.
  • Manage and audit contractors visitors and permits to work.
  • Support group SHE initiatives campaigns and compliance audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure strong document control.
  • Liaise with external authorities and stakeholders as required.
  • Deputise for the SHE Manager and contribute to wider SHE forums.

CANDIDATE

Profile

Youll be an experienced and confident SHE professional with the ability to engage influence and drive a positive safety culture. Youll thrive in a hands-on fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification(NEBOSH or equivalent).
  • Environmental qualification(IEMA or similar).
  • At least 5 years experiencein a similar role within manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong understanding ofBS ISO 45001and environmental management systems.
  • Excellent communication problem-solving and influencing skills.
  • A collaborative proactive and people-focused approach.

Salary 35K- 45K DOE

Pension 4% matching

25 Days Holidays 8 stats

Mon-Thu 8:30am- 5pm Fri 8:30am- 4pm 5 Days a week on site
