Job Summary

We are currently seeking a dedicated knowledgeable and inspiring Physics Teacher to join a high-performing secondary school in Buckinghamshire on a full-time permanent basis starting January 2026. This is an excellent opportunity for an ECT or experienced Physics specialist to teach within a forward-thinking academically ambitious and well-resourced Science Faculty.

About the Science & Physics Department
The Science Department is energetic well-structured and supported by specialist technicians and experienced subject leads. The Physics team delivers consistently strong results at both GCSE and A-Level and the subject is highly popular among students with a strong uptake into Sixth Form.
Labs are modern and fully equipped with high-quality apparatus for demonstrations investigations and advanced Physics practicals. Staff enjoy a culture of collaborative planning shared resources and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Role Responsibilities
Teaching Physics across KS3KS5 (A-Level experience desirable but strong KS4 teachers considered)
Delivering high-quality lessons that challenge inspire and develop scientific thinking
Using practical experiments and demonstrations to enhance student understanding
Assessing progress planning interventions and supporting exam preparation
Contributing to departmental planning curriculum development and enrichment
Supporting STEM initiatives Physics clubs or related competitions

Experience and Qualifications
Degree in Physics or a closely related discipline
PGCE with QTS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcome)
Strong Physics subject knowledge and passion for the subject
Ability to deliver engaging lessons that promote curiosity and academic ambition

Salary
Paid to scale MPS/UPS depending on experience
