Position Overview
The ICU Resident Medical Officer (RMO) will be responsible for providing round-the-clock medical care to critically ill patients in the ICU. The role requires a professional with sound clinical judgment strong emergency handling skills and experience in ICU protocols and patient monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Assist consultants in critical procedures and manage medical emergencies.
Administer treatments medications and necessary investigations.
Coordinate with nursing staff and ensure compliance with ICU protocols and NABH standards.
Provide continuous medical care to patients admitted in the ICU.
Monitor patient vitals and maintain detailed clinical records.
Assist consultants and intensivists in managing critical cases.
Administer medications IV infusions and other therapeutic interventions as per protocols.
Respond promptly to emergencies and code blue situations.
Ensure proper handover of patient details during shift changes.
Maintain communication with patient attendants regarding condition updates (as per hospital policy).
Adhere to hospital standards infection control policies and ethical medical practices.
Qualification & Experience
Education: MBBS / BAMS / BHMS (with ICU training mandatory).
Registration: Valid registration with Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC).
Experience: 1–3 years of experience as an RMO in ICU / Critical Care Unit.
Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of ICU protocols and emergency care.
Proficient in patient monitoring airway management and life support systems.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to handle pressure and make quick clinical decisions.
