The Bobcat Operator is responsible for operating skid-steer loaders (commonly known as Bobcats) to support construction landscaping earthmoving and material-handling activities. The operator ensures safe efficient and accurate operation of the equipment while adhering to company policies site safety standards and client requirements.
Operate Bobcat/skid-steer loader to perform tasks such as digging grading loading backfilling leveling and material transport.
Use attachments such as buckets forks sweepers augers and hydraulic tools as required for the job.
Maneuver equipment in confined or busy work areas safely.
Assist in preparing and cleaning work areas.
Support general labour tasks when equipment operation is not required.
Follow instructions from supervisors site managers and project leads to meet work specifications.
Conduct daily pre-operation inspections of the Bobcat checking fluid levels tires hydraulics and safety devices.
Report equipment defects damage or maintenance needs promptly.
Comply with company safety policies PPE requirements and site-specific safety regulations.
Maintain safe operating practices to protect personnel property and equipment.
Maintain accurate equipment logs inspection checklists and activity records.
Report incidents near-misses or hazards immediately.
Proven experience operating a Bobcat/skid-steer loader.
Valid operator certification or relevant machinery license (as required by local regulations).
Basic mechanical understanding of equipment operations and maintenance.
Ability to follow instructions read work plans and work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Good physical condition and ability to work in outdoor environments under various weather conditions.
Strong awareness of site safety and hazard prevention.
Good handeye coordination and spatial awareness.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
