About the role

As a Game Show Host performer you will lead groups of guests in a series of games and challenges while providing a fun friendly and energetic atmosphere. As the facilitator for each experience you will also be running the technical aspects of the show from a show control system. You will report to the General Manager and Manager on Duty but will carry out shows with minimal to no supervision. This role will start with performances in our Classic Underground Gameshow experience with opportunities to cross-train into our other scripted experiences for additional hours opportunities.

Please note: this application will require the submission of a video audition element before moving into the interview phase. Applicants who do not submit a video audition will not be considered for this role.

What youll do

Host and Facilitate Shows

• Lead the show execution including: performing both improvisational and scripted dialogue presenting explaining rules and encouraging participation in an engaging and entertaining way.
• Foster a welcoming energetic atmosphere with humor and light-hearted commentary to encourage guest interaction participation and a sense of community.

Technical Operations

• Operate and manage the show control system to ensure seamless execution of games.
• Performing cleaning tasks of the stage space as instructed.

Qualifications

Required

• Performance experience including both improvisational and scripted elements.
• High energy and enthusiasm with a strong presence and the ability to keep audiences engaged and entertained.
• Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to engage and entertain diverse groups of people.
• Comfortable with operating software necessary for show production.
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills to address any issues that may arise during the show.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand and move around for extended periods.
• Ability to handle light physical work related to setting up the show environment.

Preferred

• Experience as a stand-up or improv comedian.
• Experience interacting with guests in an entertainment or theme park setting
• On-stage performance experience.

Compensation

Payrate: $20/hour with opportunities to accept tips.
