Department Overview:
The position is within the London-based team of the London team of the DC&A business of ING Bank which is part of the banks wider Corporate Finance business within the Capital Markets and Advisory division. D&CA is the banks in-house debt advisory product.
Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
The role will include the following tasks typically under the supervision of an experienced debt advisory team leader:
Building and running detailed cash flow models in MS Excel;
Assisting in preparation of Preliminary Information Memorandum and other documentation for prospective lenders as well as in reviewing outputs produced by the clients DD advisors on debt advisory mandates;
Assisting in preparation of pitch material in support of team bidding for new advisory mandates;
Assisting in other tasks required to ensure a timely completion of advisory mandates;
Collaboration with other CMA product teams particularly M&A and sector lending teams in EMEA;
The successful candidate will be expected to travel from time to time.
Candidate Profile
Qualification/Education
Essential: University degree (BA/MA or equivalent) background in finance economics and ability to work in an international environment.
Desirable: Background in or familiarity with the energy industry particularly renewable energy energy storage trading low carbon and energy transition technologies.
Experience/Knowledge
Essential:
Experience from a bank accounting/consultancy firm or on the buyside preferably in a debt advisory and/or project finance team for at least three years.
Experience in building complex financial models for acquisition/structured/project finance transactions.
Fluent in English (strong writing and presenting skills)
Desirable:
The experience above acquired from working in the energy sector.
At least one foreign (European) language at working proficiency level.
