Job Summary
The Assistant or Associate Professor in Psychiatric Pharmacy Practice is: 1. Responsible for assisting in the establishment of curriculum subject matter and methods of instruction and those aspects of student life which relate to the educational process. 2. Promote by precept and example a general atmosphere within the College of respect for knowledge thought and inquiry. 3. Contribute to the planning development and evaluation of courses and academic programs within the College. 4. Responsible for establishing clerkship rotations and serving as a preceptor for Pharm.D. students. 5. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a clinical practice site that supports clinical clerkship rotations for Pharm.D. students. 6. Responsible for establishing and maintaining a clinical practice site that supports clinical clerkship rotations for Pharm.D. students. 7. Conduct/participate in pharmacy practice research endeavors. 8. Support the organizational goals and objectives of the College of Pharmacy and Western University of Health Sciences. 9. The faculty member has the right and obligation to participate in scheduled meetings of the General Faculty. Election to the Faculty Senate and election or appointment to committees should be considered a privilege and faculty members are encouraged to share in these responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
1. EDUCATION : Pharm.D. degree. 2. EXPERIENCE : Consistent with current College promotion and tenure documents.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference will be given to those individuals who have completed a residency or fellowship in Psychiatric Pharmacy or those who have a professional interest in Psychiatric Pharmacy and those who have experience in teaching and/or research; publications; and presentations.
