CIVIL ENGINEER - Federal/Public Works

Role Description:Civil Engineer with at least 5 years experience and will be a registered Professional Engineer for our Irvine role will be a Civil Engineer to work on Public Works/Federal Practice Area. This position will provide leadership guide business development and project management on local Southern California (and beyond as needed) engineering projects.

Education:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE)

• Duties:Serve as Civil Engineer in the development of design schematics construction plans specifications and estimates.
• Coordinate with EITs designers and drafters.
• Review shop drawings perform field observations and facilitate the construction administration.
• Support project proposals scopes budgets and manage execution and tracking of projects.
• Complete projects within client specifications budgets and schedules.
• Coordinate online meetings preparation of meeting agendas and distribution of meeting.

• Productively collaborates with PMs and encourages teams to achieve success and camaraderie amongst each other
• Understands and follows QMS and Quality initiatives. Assists PM on ensuring that quality control measures are being adhered to on projects and daily operations.
• Understands duties and responsibilities possesses necessary job knowledge and technical skills maintains job knowledge current.
• Assist with appropriate administrative and project support tasks supporting the needs of the PM on assigned project tasks.
• Contributes to successful delivery and performance of projects
• Complete assignments on-time within budget and with highest level of quality.
• Routinely proposes and produces more effective ways to accomplish tasks.
• Assists PM as needed on work planning. Prepares and follows comprehensive Project Framework Instructions and proper work planning for a project. Assists PM on ensuring proper staff is assigned and utilized on their projects.

• Qualifications:Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE).
• Registered Professional Engineer
• 5years of civil engineering design experience
• Proficient in MicroStation AutoCAD and Civil 3D a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and Project
• Ability to work independently in a team environment and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision
• Excellent verbal and written skills communicating engineering information clearly and concisely.
