MFTS Project & Enterprise Risk Manager
Location: RAF Shawbury Shropshire (with travel to RAF Valley & Oxford)

Airbus Helicopters is the worlds leading helicopter manufacturer and our Oxford Airport site is Britains civil helicopter hub. AHUK provides comprehensive services including sales bespoke completions maintenance and technical support for civil and military applications.
We are the Ministry of Defences (MoD) chosen provider for the rotary wing element of the Military Flying Training System (MFTS) supporting essential training services at RAF Shawbury and RAF Valley. Join us in delivering this critical service that ensures the next generation of military pilots are trained on our advanced fleet of H135 Juno and H145 Jupiter helicopters.
We are looking to recruit a highly experienced dynamic and strategic MFTS Project & Enterprise Risk Manager to provide professional monitoring and control for our flagship long-term helicopter service delivery contract with Ascent Flight Training (a JV between Lockheed Martin and Babcock). This role is pivotal to maximising the capability and serviceability of the MFTS fleet contracted to provide up to 28000 flying hours per year.
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager MFTS you will drive the On-time On-cost On-quality delivery of complex projects across multiple sites to ensure critical aircraft availability and meet stringent contractual KPIs.
Project Management: Control and manage planning baselines for the effective delivery of multiple concurrent modification and upgrade projects across the MFTS fleet.
Enterprise Risk Management: Identify analyse and robustly manage project and enterprise risks developing contingency plans to ensure operational continuity and financial stability.
Quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis (QSRA): Deploy expert QSRA methods and statistical simulations (using tools like Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis) to assess and calculate time contingency identifying at-risk activities.
Reporting & Analysis: Provide regular insightful and data-driven reports on project performance identifying trends challenges and opportunities for continuous improvement.
Visual Management & Governance: Implement and drive robust data-driven visual management systems and dashboards to provide clear visibility of performance progress and key metrics across the team.
What You Will Bring
Extensive Project Management experience in technical and/or commercial roles within the aerospace industry (MRO/support contracts desirable).
Proven expertise in Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) aiding businesses in defining and managing their risk appetite.
Expert-level practical experience with Project Management dedicated QSRA toolsets and enterprise systems including:
Oracle Primavera P6
Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis
SAP
Sword Active Risk
Recognised Project Management Accreditation or significant equivalent experience.
Strong stakeholder management communication and influencing skills across all levels.
An understanding of the Armed Forces ways of working (served or civilian stakeholder).
Knowledge of aviation regulations specifically Part 145 Part CAMO and the airworthiness regulators CAA and MAA including the Leaflet B40 construct.
Qualifications
A Bachelors degree in Engineering Project Management Business Administration or a related field (Masters degree is highly desirable).

Additional Information
This position is primarily based at RAF Shawbury and requires routine travel to RAF Valley and Oxford.
Due to the nature of this role the successful applicant will require a DBS check and eligibility for SC Security Clearance.
