Are you are a team player who cares about customer service As an Insurance Specialist with Millers Health Systems you are primarily responsible for handling the prior authorization and certification approvals needed for insurance billing. You use your knowledge of accounting practices and your attention for details to help achieve department goals. Some of your duties will include:
Obtaining prior authorizations certifications and re-certifications from insurance companies
Obtaining medical records as needed to get claims to process
Follow up on insurance claims and correct as necessary
Perform other tasks not to interfere with the above responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications :
Initiative strong communication skills attention to detail ability to multi-task
Experience working with Insurance/Medicare/Medicaid benefit verifications
Experience working with medical record documentation for insurance authorization and re-certification processes
Ability to read & understand insurance billing forms insurance & Medicare remits is required
Associates degree and/or experience in long-term care a plus
