Job Summary
Job Summary
Supports University by negotiating and buying materials and services at competitive prices and assists the Purchasing Manager and Associate Director of Procurement Services in the development and implementation of procurement strategies designed to increase the overall efficiencies and effectiveness of the Purchasing Department.
Required Qualifications
Education: Any combination of education and/or experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree or any combination of education training or experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities. Experience: Proven experience in a purchasing services organization with demonstrated responsibilities in all aspects of procurement cycles (buying negotiations contract management payables liaison shipping/receiving). Experience in government purchasing and/or educational field is highly desirable.
