Global IT Team Lead – SAP Cross Applications (mfd)

We are looking for a Global Team Lead to oversee our SAP Cross Applications team covering key technical areas such as SAP Basis Authorizations and ABAP Development.
This position combines hands-on SAP Basis expertise with strategic leadership ensuring the stability performance and security of our global SAP landscape.

You will lead a global team of specialists coordinate technical operations across regions and play a crucial role in guiding the roadmap for our SAP environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead a global team responsible for SAP Basis Authorizations and ABAP Development.
• Serve as the technical authority for SAP Basis overseeing system performance upgrades patching and landscape design.
• Manage SAP system installations upgrades migrations and support packages in collaboration with external partners
• Support project teams in technical planning and landscape design.
• Proactively recommend and implement improvements in stability performance and automation.
• Manage activities regarding user access and authorization concepts ensuring compliance with security standards.
• Coordinate and prioritize global development activities in cooperation with the other SAP streams
• Collaborate with infrastructure application and security teams to ensure system reliability and scalability.
• Establish global governance documentation and standard operating procedures for SAP technical operations.
• Monitor system health capacity planning and disaster recovery readiness.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation across the areas in responsibility.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
• 8 years of experience in SAP technical operations with deep hands-on experience in SAP Basis (system administration installation performance tuning upgrades etc.).
• Strong understanding of SAP transport management client copies system refreshes and upgrades.
• Knowledge of SAP security authorization concepts and system monitoring tools.
• Experience leading global or cross-functional teams.
• Ability to manage complex SAP landscapes (ECC or S/4HANA).
• Familiarity with HANA database Solution Manager and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Excellent communication stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
