Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Lead Developer with a strong background in Python and AWS to join our innovative engineering team at Genesys. The ideal candidate will bring at least 8 years of hands-on experience in designing developing and delivering scalable secure and high-performance backend solutions that power intelligent customer experiences.

As a technical SME you will own the full software development lifecycle from architecture and design to implementation testing and deployment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our platforms remain reliable performant and cost-efficient while driving best practices in cloud-native development.

Key Responsibilities

• Software Development: Design develop and maintain high-quality backend services and APIs using and Python.

• Cloud Architecture: Architect build and deploy cloud-native solutions on AWS leveraging services like Lambda EC2 S3 RDS/Aurora DynamoDB API Gateway SQS/SNS and CloudWatch.

• System Design & Scalability: Lead the design and implementation of scalable fault-tolerant and high-performance systems.

• Security & Compliance: Implement security best practices across code infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

• Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor team members contribute to architecture decisions and work closely with stakeholders across engineering and product teams.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or equivalent professional experience.

• 8 years of professional software development experience focused on backend systems.

• Expert-level proficiency in ( NestJS) and Python (Flask Django).

• Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud architecture deep understanding of compute storage database and serverless services.

• Strong problem-solving debugging and analytical skills.

• Experience with contact center reporting is an advantage.

• AWS Certification (Developer or Solutions Architect) preferred.
