Position Summary:
The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for maintaining and improving existing products and manufacturing processes to ensure consistent quality performance and efficiency. This role works cross-functionally with production quality sourcing and design teams to resolve technical issues implement process improvements and support lifecycle management of current product lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot production issues related to existing footwear products.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality reduce waste and improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design changes material substitutions or tooling updates.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality or performance concerns.
- Maintain accurate documentation of product specifications process changes and engineering updates.
- Assist in cost reduction efforts through material optimization and process refinement.
- Ensure compliance with manufacturing standards and product performance requirements.
Qualifications :
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering Industrial Design or related field.
- 3 years of experience in manufacturing product engineering or technical support preferably in footwear or consumer goods.
- Strong problem-solving skills and experience with root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes materials and tooling used in footwear production.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and operational teams.

Primarily operates in an office environment that requires frequent typing and manual dexterity for computer use.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Hyflex. Time is split between office and remote work. Occasional travel required.
