Bealings School are looking for an organised motivated and caring Wraparound Care Lead to oversee and deliver before- and after-school provision ensuring every child starts and ends their school day positively

Your responsibilities

  • Plan organise and lead engaging activities (creative physical and social) for children
  • Supervise and support children to ensure their safety and wellbeing at all times
  • Manage the day-to-day running of wraparound sessions ensuring smooth routines and effective communication with parents and staff
  • Opening up and closing of school buildings ensuring security of school premises
  • Supervise and support wraparound care assistants and volunteers
  • Prepare and serve healthy snacks following food hygiene and allergy procedures
  • Maintain registers administer first aid as necessary and report accidents according to school procedures
  • Ensure compliance with school policies including safeguarding health and safety and behaviour management
  • Liaise with the Headteacher and school staff to ensure continuity of care and share relevant information about pupils
  • Purchase and maintain resources within an agreed budget
  • Promote a positive inclusive atmosphere where all children feel valued and respected.

What you will need

Essential:

  • Experience of working with children in a school nursery or childcare setting
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate activities
  • A caring patient and enthusiastic approach
  • Good communication skills with both children and adults
  • Understanding of safeguarding child protection and health and safety requirements.
  • Reliable and able to work independently.


Desirable:

  • Relevant childcare qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Playwork Childcare or equivalent).
  • First Aid and Food Hygiene certificates.
  • Experience leading a team or club for children.
  • Knowledge of Ofsted requirements for wraparound provision.
