Job Summary
- Manage product development projects ensuring functional cost and quality requirements are met within budget and on time.
- Collaborate across functions including Manufacturing Sales and Purchasing to achieve project objectives.
- Foster an agile approach with regular team meetings and short feedback loops.
- Provide transparency on project status and risks presenting regular summaries to senior management and thus allowing timely decision making.
- Lead the Product Engineering Process (PEP) for new product development defining schedules budgets and deliverables.
- Moderate workshops for innovation design to cost design for manufacture and problem solving among other topics
- Drive cost reduction initiatives to boost profitability.
Qualifications :
Education: Bachelors or Masters degree (ideally in Engineering) or commensurate experience
Experience: Project Management experience ideally within product development.
Skills:
Proven project management competence (PMP or Prince2 certification desirable).
Demonstrable communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
Strong appreciation of precision metal parts and assemblies
Agile mindset.
Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office.
Ability to summarise complex information for leadership.
Strong analytical and conceptual capabilities.
