As we grow we are seeking a dedicated Staff Accountant to support our financial operations and ensure our business maintains a strong foundation.
Position Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented highly organized Staff Accountant to join our in-office finance team. This full-time role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records preparing key reports and supporting day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of accounting principles enjoys working in a team and is proactive in identifying opportunities for financial process improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily accounting tasks including daily deposits entering accounts payable invoice entry account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
- Assist with monthly and year-end close procedures
- Support budgeting forecasting and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with company policies accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Help manage fixed assets expense tracking and job costing
- Communicate with vendors clients and internal teams regarding invoice and payment issues
- Assist with audits and coordinate with external accountants when necessary
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field
- 2 years of accounting experience preferably in manufacturing environments with hands on inventory control skills
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks Spuce Sage NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
- Exceptional attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Reliable transportation to and from our office in Atlanta is required
