Why Your Role Matters:
The Senior Business Analyst leads complex enterprise-wide projects partnering with senior stakeholders to design scalable solutions aligned with UNSWs strategic goals. The role focuses on developing UNSWs Master Data Management capability and expanding the Universal Constituent Master (UCM) solution to function as an enterprise-level platform.
The position reports to the Lead Solution Architect - MDM and Data and has no direct reports.
Responsibilities Include:
- Lead end-to-end business analysis for complex enterprise-level initiatives from problem definition to solution delivery and review.
- Define and document as-is and to-be processes solution models and data requirements across systems and business areas.
- Partner with senior stakeholders to identify strategic needs and align business and technology outcomes with UNSWs objectives.
- Define Master Data Management (MDM) requirements with business SMEs customers and implementation teams.
- Develop business cases and feasibility studies to inform decisions and prioritisation.
- Collaborate with architects developers data and testing teams to ensure solutions meet business and technical needs.
- Support testing activities including System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Maintain a strong understanding of university systems data models and processes to provide enterprise-level insights.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of business analysis standards and practices across UNSW.

Skills and Experience Summary:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience (5 years) as a Business Analyst in large complex organisations leading strategic or enterprise-scale initiatives.
- Proven ability to work effectively within structured and agile delivery environments (Agile Waterfall or Hybrid).
- Strong expertise in business analysis techniques including process mapping data analysis requirements gathering solution evaluation and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience developing business cases supporting procurement or vendor selection and implementing enterprise platforms.
- Excellent analytical problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated experience managing data products across their full lifecycle with strong product management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience collaborating with or guiding other analysts to ensure consistency and quality.
- Knowledge of enterprise systems CRM ERP or integration platforms is highly desirable.
