We are looking for an experiencedLeadRadiographerwho will beresponsiblefor the operationalmanagement of a part of the diagnostic imaging department ensuring the delivery of high-quality imaging services and to be a speciality lead in general and theatre imaging whilst supporting the RadiologyManager. Youwill havethe relevantspecialistknowledge withpreviouspeople management experiencegoodcommunicationandIT skills to help us build a healthier nation as aLead Radiographerat ourhospital.

The Radiology department is a growing and busy department covering general radiographic procedures theatre ultrasound CT and MRI. You will undertake a wide range of duties in helping to run the day to day running of a radiology service as well asparticipatingin clinical work.

You hold a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent) a postgraduate qualification and be HCPC a working knowledge of IRMER IRR and be able to undertake audits. Radiation Protection Supervisor training/qualification would be desirable.

We have a duty to apply to the DBS disclosure on successful candidates.

As ourLeadRadiographeryou will:

  • Provide clinical leadership within a highly specialised area.

  • You willparticipatein departmental QAauditand all aspects of mandatory training as well.

  • As a clinical lead you will enjoy scoping to develop policies and procedures.

  • Deputise and support Radiology Manager.

  • Supervise and develop other members of staffinlcudingto mentor students andperceptees.

  • Work in partnership supporting practitioners and other departments around the hospital.

  • See each patient as an individual and carry out this role with understanding and empathy.

  • Excellent communication and team working abilities.
