About the Role:

As an Engineering Manager (.NET) you will lead the design and delivery of cloud-native event-driven backend platforms supporting mission-critical trading operations. Youll set technical direction mentor teams and ensure delivery excellence against key metrics including KPIs SLAs and OKRs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and architectural standards (Clean Architecture DDD CQRS) ensuring performance resilience and scalability.
  • Govern multi-account AWS setups using Control Tower; design event routing (EventBridge) streaming (Kafka/Kinesis) analytics (Athena/Glue/Redshift) and secure foundations (Security Hub GuardDuty WAF Shield Secrets Manager).
  • Build high-throughput low-latency distributed systems leveraging async programming circuit breakers retries and compensating transactions.
  • Standardize Infrastructure as Code with Terraform ensure zero-downtime CI/CD define SLOs and error budgets and implement observability with CloudWatch X-Ray OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
  • Oversee data and ETL pipelines including CDC (Debezium/DMS/Kafka Connect) ETL/ELT workflows (Glue Step Functions) and ensure data quality lineage and regulatory compliance (GDPR/ASIC/EU).
  • Track and report engineering KPIs such as availability latency throughput MTTR and cost per transaction.
  • Coach and develop engineers lead architecture reviews and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


Your Profile:

  • 7 years of backend engineering experience in C#/.NET for distributed high-volume systems.
  • Proven track record in technical leadership and engineering management.
  • Experience in trading fintech or banking environments (latency integrity compliance).
  • Expertise in event-driven architectures (Kafka/EventBridge Sagas CQRS).
  • Strong AWS experience (Control Tower Kinesis EventBridge ECS/EKS DynamoDB Athena/Glue/Redshift).
  • Proficiency in Terraform Kubernetes CI/CD GitOps and observability pipelines.
  • Knowledge of ETL/CDC patterns data contracts and compliance frameworks.

**Must be located in Cyprus**
