Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to join our Wilmington MA office and lead automation and control projects for industrial processes and machinery. This role focuses on PLC programming DCS programming HMI/SCADA design instrumentation control panel design and system commissioning. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with industrial automation strong programming skills and the ability to implement complex control systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Design develop and implement PLC DCS and RTU control systems.
• Configure and program HMI/SCADA systems using Ignition or Rockwell platforms.
• Develop control system architecture schematic diagrams and system documentation.
• Implement industrial automation protocols including Ethernet/IP Modbus Profibus HART OPC and Foundation Fieldbus.
• Program using Ladder Logic Sequential Function Chart Structured Text and SQL.
• Lead or support project commissioning and start-up at client sites.
• Ensure compliance with life science and industrial regulations including cGMP 21 CFR Part 11 GAMP5 and validation standards.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and act as project lead when needed.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Control Engineering Mechanical Engineering Chemical Engineering or Computer Science.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial controls engineering.
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation PLCs HMI/SCADA platforms and Emerson DeltaV DCS.
• Hands-on experience with industrial instrumentation and automation protocols.
• Strong programming knowledge in and SQL.
• Ability to travel up to 25% to client sites.
• Stable work history required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with industrial networking: fiber wired wireless.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics power distribution and NEC standards.
• Familiarity with S88 Batch processes and industrial process validation.
• Leadership and client-facing experience.

Salary & Benefits

• $110000 - $125000 per year
