About the Role:
A leading food manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Operations Superintendent (Night Shift) to oversee nightly production activities ensure high-quality output and lead a strong culture of safety compliance and operational excellence.
This position manages multiple production departments ensuring alignment with output targets quality standards and regulatory requirements. It is an ideal opportunity for a high-performing leader with poultry protein or food-processing background who thrives in fast-paced large-scale environments.
What Youll Do:
As the Operations Superintendent you will be responsible for driving performance across all night-shift operations including:
Operational Leadership:

Lead nightly production to meet staffing scheduling and order fulfillment targets.

Develop implement and refine SOPs GPPs and continuous improvement processes across multiple departments.

Oversee critical production KPIs such as BPMH PPMH A-Grade % and Cost/lb.
Quality Safety & Compliance:
-
Ensure full compliance with HACCP USDA regulations sanitation standards and pre-op protocols.

Identify production trends quality issues and defects; implement improvement plans proactively.

Verify training requirements HR compliance and safety certifications including Kronos/Fusion accuracy.
Team Leadership:

Train coach and develop supervisors and production teams across the night shift.

Promote a culture of accountability communication collaboration and operational excellence.

Partner with cross-functional leaders to drive shared goals and maintain a strong team environment.
What You Bring:
Youll be successful in this role if you have:
-
5 years of supervisory or management experience in poultry meat or high-volume food manufacturing
-
Experience overseeing multiple departments or complex production lines
-
Strong understanding of HACCP USDA regulations sanitation guidelines and food safety requirements
-
Knowledge of production metrics and operational financial analysis (Agristats experience preferred)

Bachelors degree preferred but relevant experience considered in lieu of degree (Operations Ag Business Manufacturing)

Ability to thrive in a 24/7 operation and lead teams through night-shift priorities
