Fire Suppression Design Engineer Direct Hire On-site in Harrison OH
Join a top-tier industrial safety and mechanical systems team as a Fire Suppression Design Engineer in Harrison Ohio. This full-time direct-hire opportunity is perfect for mid to senior-level design engineers who specialize in fire protection systems especially special hazard suppression and fire alarm systems (not just water-based/sprinklers).
Location: Harrison OH (On-site only)
Level: Mid to Senior 2 Years Design Experience
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Design life safety systems using AutoCAD and proprietary tools

Ensure systems meet local national and manufacturer codes

Collaborate with contractors for correct installation and function

Conduct job site surveys and system inspections as needed

Attend manufacturer and industry training sessions

Develop O&M manuals and update technical drawings

Assist with engineering tasks like process improvement and commissioning
Required Qualifications:

Proven experience designing fire suppression and alarm systems (not sprinkler-only)

Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and experienced in 3D design tools

Familiar with MS Office Suite

Strong documentation and communication skills

Interest in pursuing NICET certification
Preferred Qualifications:

NICET certification (or in progress)

Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
