Mixed Veterinary Surgeon Tipperary (January to June Contract)
Salary: 4500 - 5000/month
Contract: Approx. 4 - 6 months

The Vet Office is managing the recruitment process for a mixed veterinary surgeon to join a friendly and experienced practice located in Tipperary for a temporary contract from January to June 2026.
About the Clinic
The clinic operates with a small close-knit team composed of:

A veterinarian with 25 years of experience
A veterinarian with 7 years of experience

A veterinary nurse

A receptionist
The Role
The position requires a fully fledged mixed veterinary surgeon capable of working independently across the usual duties of mixed practice. This is not a shadowing role or a new-graduate position.
Key responsibilities include:

Farm visits and large animal work

Small animal consultations
-
Small animal surgeries performed independently except in specific cases requiring assistance
During spring the caseload is typically 60% large animal and 40% small animal. The distribution can be slightly adjusted depending on the candidates strengths and preferences as the other veterinarian on the team is flexible with his own LA/SA balance.
Team & Support
While independent work is expected support is always available from the team. The clinic maintains a friendly atmosphere where collaboration and communication are highly valued.
Requirements
VCI registered and being currently living in Ireland.
