Healthcare Assistant

We are working closely alongside with a local authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of a Healthcare Assistant on a 5 months contract highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: 13 per hour PAYE

Summary:

The Healthcare Assistant plays a critical role within the Intermediate Care and Reablement service directly supporting service users at the Granby Hub. The core objective is to promote independence and enhance daily living skills by implementing individual person-centred support plans. This role requires flexibility to work shifts over 7 days and demands a strong commitment to promoting good care practice dignity and anti-discriminatory practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide support with personal care including the use of various manual handling equipment.
• Promote good care practice including a commitment to the empowerment of the individual the maintenance of their dignity and independence and respect for their cultural spiritual and religious needs.
• Attend supervision sessions and staff training sessions as arranged by the Line Manager and in conjunction with personal development plans.
• The role involves direct support and personal care including manual handling and support with various social recreational educational and therapeutic activities (e.g. hydro and rebound therapy).
• Requires full accountability for managing the councils resources well and complying with all statutory and corporate responsibilities.

Essentials:

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards certification.
• Experience of working in an adult social care setting.
• Ability to follow a designated reablement programme.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.

• You should have right to work in U.K
• This role requires an Enhanced DBS
