Grade 3 Physiotherapist - Rehabilitation
Maternity Leave role - 12 months - Part time 20 hours per week

In this role you will be required to:
lead the provision of high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention to maximise functional independence safety and quality of life of our patients
Assist the physiotherapy team leader and allied health manager with department operational management
Additional responsibilities include:
clinical leadership for the inpatient physio team
supervision/mentoring of Grade 2/Grade 1 physios and students
Lead program development and quality improvement activities within the Allied Health Department
coordinating and leading professional development /training
Provide leadership to staff to ensure a positive and harmonious working environment within team.
Acts as a valued member of an inter-disciplinary team including Nursing teams Allied Health teams and medical personnel
participating in case conferences and family conferences and actively contributing to team processes and practices.
Collaborate with external partners to ensure patients receive a high quality of care across the health care continuum.
Maintains a professional and constructive working relationships with our VMO partners using a customer service mindset to enable high quality patient outcomes.
At Dorset Rehabilitation we offer an extensive range of inpatient and outpatient services in various specialties including orthopaedics neurology cardiac falls and balance hydrotherapy rehab in the home and pain management. We have a strong commitment to the provision of evidence-based practice and excellence in the delivery of care to our patients.
Selection Criteria:
Bachelor in Physiotherapy or equivalent
Current AHPRA registration
Minimum 7 years clinical experience
Excellent clinical practice skills in rehabilitation assessment and intervention.
Experience in neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation
Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Excellent organisation and time management skills
Interest in developing pain management skills
Commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork
